This is an expansion of the PostScript programming language that’s often used in the publishing business. It was developed in 1982 by Adobe Systems. JPS is a format used to create a 3D effect out of a 2D pictures. Such files usually contain two images with different perspective appropriate for each eye and they are stored side-by-side.
