JFIF is a graphical data format that enables the exchange of compressed JPEG files between computers. The main feature of the format is the use of a marker to indicate parameters that are not used in the JPEG standard, namely, pixel geometry, pixel size and some other parameters.

JBG is a lossless format used to store both black and white, and color images. It was developed by JBIG (Joint Bi-level Image Experts Group) for compressing pictures to send by fax but can also be used quite effectively on other images.
