This format was developed to simplify use of Type1-fonts in some software. It’s 8-bit and so it’s quickly processed by programs and it has a compact structure. PFB contains additional metadata. JPS is a format used to create a 3D effect out of a 2D pictures. Such files usually contain two images with different perspective appropriate for each eye and they are stored side-by-side.
