JFIF is a graphical data format that enables the exchange of compressed JPEG files between computers. The main feature of the format is the use of a marker to indicate parameters that are not used in the JPEG standard, namely, pixel geometry, pixel size and some other parameters.

SIX is an alternative extension of the SIXEL bitmap graphics format. It was developed for terminals and printers by Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC).
