JBG is a lossless format used to store both black and white, and color images. It was developed by JBIG (Joint Bi-level Image Experts Group) for compressing pictures to send by fax but can also be used quite effectively on other images. The SXW file format was originally created for StarOffice Writer, the word processing application for Sun Microsystem's StarOffice suite.
