CAVS is a set of coding/decoding standards developed by Workgroup of China in 2002. The technology is aimed to resolve problems of audio and video compression, namely original data and sources. This format is not widely supported on a PC, but is widely used for DVD-players and home theater systems in China.

Dolby Digital film format, developed for encoding audio tracks for films. It supports up to 6 audio channels: left, right, front, rear, upper and lower.
