The format allows one to break up an archived file into several parts, to block an archive to prevent accidental modification, and to enhance data recovery (helps to renew a damaged archive). This format works based on the main compression algorithm LZMA. It was originally used in 7-Zip archives. Other compression algorithms can be used in 7z since this format has open architecture for developers. It has a high compression coefficient. The encryption algorithm is AES-256.
