JBG is a lossless format used to store both black and white, and color images. It was developed by JBIG (Joint Bi-level Image Experts Group) for compressing pictures to send by fax but can also be used quite effectively on other images. This format is used for storing bitmap images. It supports many different file types and compression algorithms. One Palm bitmap file can contain multiple versions of the same images with different colors. These files are used on PALM devices.
