JNX is used by Garmin devices for storing files to display satellite maps available through a BirdsEye subscription. JNX is the so-called tile format which means that a large raster image of the map is divided into smaller rectangular pieces for faster display by the navigator.

Used graphics program ZSoft PC Paintbrush for MS-DOS, word processing and desktop publishing applications, such as Microsoft Word and Ventura Publisher.
